The Glastonbury Yogic Path Retreat
Join Jenny for this transformative yoga weekend in the heart of magical Glastonbury town.
This workshop uses asana to still restless of the body and mantra to calm the mind. Jenny teaches how to experience prana (life force) at a more subtle level than the physical body through breath focus (pranayama) and meditation. Yogic philosophy and practice centres around the koshas (sheaths) which cover the light of the soul and how to remove these through an easy breath & meditation technique.
10am Asana (physical yoga class) 11.30 Pranayama & meditation on developing subtlety of breath. 1pm Lunch (There are many cafes and shops within 2 minute walk) 2- 2.30pm Use of Mantra- charting the inner experience using sound. 3pm Yogic Philosophy: Exploring the koshas (sheaths) around the soul. 3.30-4.30pm Using physical asana, pranayama & meditation to move within. 8-9pm Optional Yoga class with chanting.
9.30am A visit to Glastonbury Tor (weather permitting) with group meditation. 11am Piercing the koshas using asana, subtle yogic breath and meditation. 1pm Lunch 2-3pm Yogic Philosophy: The nature of the soul and karma. 3- 4.00pm Transmuting karma using asana, pranayama & meditation.
