Wisdoms of the Bhagavad Gita - study & meditation class

For students seeking to deepen their spiritual wisdom, this weekly class decodes the Bhagavad Gita (Song of the Soul) into applications for daily living. Topics covered: reincarnation, immortality, karma and the true perception of soul consciousness. Each class focuses on Chapter two, revealing the inherent meanings through discussion, mantra, meditation, developing deeper intuitive insight and how to personally apply these wisdoms.

These classes at Living Lightly studio in Kilmarnock are £5 as a drop-in or you can book for all 12 classes at special rate of £50. Please note each class starts promptly at 6.30pm so expect to be seated ready to start at 6.25pm with a meditation shawl/blanket, notebook and pen.
A recording of each class will also be available.


Foundation Yogic Meditation course

 The foundation course is designed to develop focus of the mind, discernment of ego and higher self and to learn tools which can be used to bring calm in everyday life. Beginners are taught how to establish and maintain their own meditation practice.

Jenny teaches single-pointed focus in yogic meditation, pranayama (yogic breathing control), mudra (creating energy circuits in the hands) and an introduction to the psychic anatomy of the chakras and our bodies.

Cost £150: covers tuition, course notes, journal and refreshments.

Thursday 12th September 7-9pm, Glasgow Theosophical Society, 17 Queens Park Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BL. (monthly class)

On completion of the Foundation Course, students are offered the option of joining a monthly development meditation group in Kilmarnock or Glasgow on a drop-in basis.


The online option

Jenny is pleased to offer the Foundation Yogic Meditation course as a distant learning option over 8 months with one-to-one support. The course develops focus of the mind, discernment of ego and higher self and to learn tools which can be used to bring calm in everyday life. Beginners are taught how to establish and maintain their own meditation practice. 

Course notes plus recorded teaching via MP3 with a scheduled one-to-one mentoring by Jenny via phone or Skype (30 minutes).  Cost £150.

The

Advanced Yogic Meditation Course

The next 8 month course at Living Lightly, Kilmarnock, starts Jan 2020. Dates TBC.

Completion of Jenny Foundation Yogic Meditation or similar (yoga diploma/ experienced meditator) and a well-established personal meditation practice are prerequisites for the Advanced Course. Jenny holds fortnightly/monthly meditation classes in order to help her students establish that regular practice on completion of the the Foundation Course. She suggests a minimum of 12 months daily meditation practice with increasing depth before considering application for the Advanced Course.

The Advanced Course syllabus:

Teaching will revolve around the nature of Universal reality, the koshas (psychic sheaths) and the three gunas (aspects of nature) and personal introspection with specific meditations. Learn how to fine tune the breath, mental restlessness and move beyond the physical experience. Learn to bring the mind and ego into conscious control and to touch the inner Divine Self. Study on this course will require a deeper level of commitment to the student's own inner path to discover God or Divinity within.

Cost £150 to small groups of students in person.  Or by arrangement online.
